Melanie Phillips in her classic style has written a scathing attack on what she calls the shameful silence of British Jews.

And again she’s right. There were angry Muslim-sanctioned pro-IslamoTerror mob-like protests in several cities around the world that were broadcast by the pro-IslamoTerror western news agencies (particularly Hezbollah’s PR agency, the BBC), but what of the pro-Israel response?

Let’s be clear. This is not about being Jewish (or Christian or Muslim for that matter). It’s about the right to peace and security and our fundamental freedoms - which are universal rights and freedoms.

So whether you’re Jewish or Christian, Atheist, Hindu - or Muslim- if you support the war against Islamofascist terrorism, which seeks to destroy the fabric of our Western society and culture and of which the Israel-Levantine Front is just one chapter, then start protesting, writing to your MP, congressman, etc., and generally defending our hard-fought right in the West to defend our fundamental freedoms from what is quickly becoming a Fourth Reich of Islamofascism.

If it makes it any easier for Jewish supporters, there are plenty of non-Jews who support Israel’s right to defend herself, and see this as one chapter in a wider war against the Islamo-fascist regime in Iran (’regime’, let’s not forget, also means it’s holding Iran hostage).

Protest Quote of the Week - At the pro-Israel protest in London yesterday, Chief Rabbi Sir Jonathan Sacks said:

“Israel is fighting today in Lebanon because six years ago it withdrew from Lebanon…Israel is fighting today in Gaza because one year ago it withdrew from Gaza. And Israel discovered the terrible truth spoken by the late Mother Theresa - that no good deed goes unpunished.”
