What is this guy on? Has his brain been anaethetised by morphine to a point beyond repair? Maybe the kidney dialysis machine he now permanently has to walk around with is malfunctioning and he’s got pee on the brain?

It’s not the fact that he calls for more attacks that’s alarming - that’s nothing new and is, anyway, the driving force behind his whole Al Jazeera stardom. What’s new in his latest party political broadcast is that he calls for a truce based on a left-wing capitulation manual.

He says: “If Bush carries on with his lies and oppression, it would be useful for you to read Rogue State.”

…which is a book in which the author says (and Bin Laden quotes): “If I were president, I would give an apology to all the widows and orphans and all those who were tortured. Then I would announce that American interference in the nations of the world has ended once and for all.”

LOL. So Bin Laden and his fanatical following have been mass-murdering innocent working-class people on buses and trains and office blocks all for an *apology*.

Sure. In fact I’m so gullible, I think I’ll join Britain’s so-called (but least-practised) Respect party. Sign me up!

If Bin Laden has to appeal to and plug capitulation manuals, then he is truly desperate and that’s good news to me.

And where’s Bin Laden’s apology for all the New York, London, and Madrid children whose mothers and fathers were taken away from them in mass-murder bombings because Bin Laden and his fanatics had perceived “grievances” with the US/UK/Spanish governments?

What precedence does this set as well? “I dont like what X government does abroad so, I know, I’ll rage holy war against the people who live in X.”
