I think we’re expected to. Why else would George Galloway go on a TV programme aimed at mass entertainment? His thinking (warped as always) is to attract younger voters into the “Respect” camp. But, Georgie, it doesnt matter how you dress up meatloaf (leotards included), it’s still meatloaf.

emotion through...shameOh, the poor tax payers!

George Galloway was elected to the UK parliament in 2005 on a pro-Arab anti-Iraq war ticket (and everything that goes with that). Yet he’s decided to waste tax payers money and waste precious parliamentary time by incarcerating himself on a TV game show, Celebrity Big Brother. He’s already brought ridicule upon himself by performing the actions of a cat licking milk out of fellow housemate Rula Lenka’s palms. Now he’s the butt of the joke again as he dons a red leotard to perform “emotion through dance” on live television. Hmm, I dont remember that being in the “Respect” party manifesto, do you?

Fatwa
The Bethnal Green & Bow constituents, whom Galloway was elected to represent in parliament, are not (surprise, surprise) best pleased. And in addition to opposition Labour councillors keeping a public tally of the amount of tax payers’ money gone to waste while Galloway wastes away on a TV game show, there is now also a Fatwa on the internet that refers to Galloway as “an animal“.Wouldnt you be sweating as well?

Vote Loser?
Suffice to say, Galloway was elected by a Muslim population in East London aggrieved with supposed western crimes against Arabs/Muslims and which has a distinct dislike of certain Black Jewish women. Now, though, it’s clear that not all Muslims are too pleased with Galloway’s live TV “celebrity “performance, or even his candidacy as a pro-Muslim hero. Does this mean that the same Muslims who voted him into parliament will now be voting him off the Channel 4 game show?

Maybe it’s parliament that he should be booted out of; his leotardal tendencies on a game show are far more becoming. However, if the bookies are right, it’s Galloway’s turn to bow out of game show stardom and return to the job he was elected for.
